Agricultural Museum 2013 - Ryder, Amma & Auntie Terra

Our trip to the Agricultural Museum 2013 had been initiated with the free museum passes that you can acquire from the Ottawa Public Library, with a library card.

So myself, my grandson Ryder (age almost 4) and Auntie Terra headed out to visit (for our second time ... we had gone once before with Ryder when he was younger ... ) and so we were looking with anticipation once again to see all the animals and the semi country life they lead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our bus ride and walk up through the tall old trees and colorful experimental gardens to arrive at the gate of the AGICUTLTURAL MUSEUM.

AUNTIE TERRA filmed and took pics of the whole event so you could join in the fun.

Ryder had decided to pick up some of the crab apples that had fallen from the trees all ripe and ready to eat, and fed them to the cute goats. They loved the idea and happily ate them up from Ryder's loving hands tossing them in one after another ...

Ryder loved his Christmas toys and still plays with them all each day he visits. This particular one he gets a great kick out of as he can hammer nails, and screw nuts and bolts together, while taking apart and putting back together a wooden firetruck. Auntie Terra took the pic including Ryder's marching band drum on the side.

Ryder and 'Amma' - An Afternoon in the Park

Yesterday was one of those days where the clouds seemed to move around us, giving a window of time to 'go out and play' :-) ... so we did, Ryder and me. Here is our album of the simple afternoon which give us much pleasure together, and a joy to share with you. Ryder just turned two on Monday, September 26th, 2011.

Yesturday we competed the Madhuvan Elephant
- Three Dimensional Playful Elephant Designed by 'Amma and Ryder' -

The process is always one of spontanious creativity using our own ideas based on what is around us and of great value to us.
We are particularily fond of this recent drawing done when 'Grandpa' was visiting us, and completed with the three dimensional additions just now.

We used various household recyleable paper and designed the elephant cover, head set and made our own fringe with Ryders kid's sizzors ... The playful elephant holds a customized ball for Ryder and notice the Madhuvna Elephant even has his toenails painted :-) .... (Ryder liked this part particularly, and the raised effect was due to slightly dryer glue when adding the texturized foil).

He came to life when we added the eye with some awareness and mantra :-)

Today there was a sale on ToyRUs and I took the gift card voucher from the Minto referall program, and found the toys that I had been looking for online for the last few days ... but half price (Sat. and Sun specials).

Was really happy to find the ones that I thought would be fun for Ryder ... knowing his fun loving nature ...

I was going to get some of the music activity tables, or walkers, but the music was so loud and annoying on them I was running out of the isles when I could not find the off or volume buttons ... wow ...

Anyways ... will be posting some of the details with other pics on the Picasa web albums cause they are intended for family to see, as I think it is just best that way, rather than facebook ... at this point anyways.

Had fun ... love those shops ... but got a bit overwhelmed with all the choices ... hmmmm ...

Now we are just waiting for Daddy and Mommy to come over with Ryder and we can all play together . :-) .. will have Terra take some videos for you Mom ... wish you were here ... best I can do ... is to share these digital expressions, but know it is my love for you that is shining through it all ... behind each and every form ...
